Switching daycares without losing your subsidy
Changing daycares partway through the year can feel like starting from zero, especially when you use Child Care Works. It’s easy to stay somewhere that isn’t working just because the paperwork feels like too much.
It doesn’t have to hold you back. When you switch to us, we take care of the paperwork on our side, including CCIS transfers and subsidy forms. Your part is short: contact the ELRC through COMPASS or at 1-888-461-KIDS and choose A Touch of Blessings as your provider. We complete the provider paperwork from there.
Before you call, have a few things handy: your child’s name and age, the date you’d like to start, and whether your subsidy is active right now. Then call (844) 708-6824 and tell us where you are in the process. We’ll tell you which age groups are open at 2318 Cecil B. Moore Ave. and what comes next.
If you’re leaving another center, try to give yourself some overlap. Ask your current provider how much notice they need, then plan your start date with us around it. Kids tend to handle a move better when the last day at the old place and the first day at the new one don’t come as a surprise.
